First, excellent first post. Clear, concise, and definitely not dumb.I had this system all up and running until a week ago. Now, when my Haas mill is turned on, I cannot connect to the server with my computer. Once I turn the mill off, I can re-access my server. Can anyone please help me refine this system to get it working correctly? I am quite burned out trying to get this setup... If you have any other recommendations for this project, I would happly use them.
Secondly, persevere. If it was working to your satisfaction (great job, by the way) then it should continue to do so. I hope you can get it back to how it was.
Thirdly, I'm just guessing, but it sounds like a network problem. Did anything else change around the same time? The only clue I can glean is that the Haas machine being turned on and off prevents the server from being accessible. In this case do you mean just turning the machine on, or do you mean running the milling operations? In the former case I'd suspect a network issue. In the latter I'd suspect electrical interference.
Does the Haas use a static IP? Is it possible that it is clashing with the IP of the server?
