What sort of run time are you hoping to get? It's going to need a lot of battery capacity.

5A at 5V is 25W (The official PSU is 5.1V and rated 27W).

Lipo batteries run at about 3.7V average. 27W at 3.7V is 7.3A. With conversion losses you'll need at least 8A. Even if you could get that out of a typical 3000mAh cell, it would have maybe 15 minutes usable time. Four cells for one hour of use, possibly.
1 - 4 Hours, if a new Retropie OS for the Pi 5 ever comes out, and I'm using 2 18650 batteries in parallel to theoretically increase the amps, as I was told. Sorry but I'm still learning Electronics.
