Sorry my bad, typo!! I edited my post/question. For clarification, the commands dose disable Bluetooth and WLAN (Wi-Fi).It may be that the above ALSO disables BT. I don't use BT most ^H^H^H^H at all, so have not noticed that BT is also disabled.
Everywhere I look, these two commands disable the wireless compatibilities, eg WiFi and BT, not the WLAN, would you like to explain or share where you got the info this would also disable the built in NIC?
But, I can tell you with certainty that it definitely disables WiFi, which is the device wlan0.Notice that there is no device wlan0. If you actually meant to differentiate between "WiFi" and "WLAN", please explain.Code:
pw/etc$ sudo cat blacklist-wifi.conf blacklist brcmfmacblacklist brcmutilpw/etc$ ip a1: lo: <LOOPBACK,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 65536 qdisc noqueue state UNKNOWN group default qlen 1000 link/loopback 00:00:00:00:00:00 brd 00:00:00:00:00:00 inet 127.0.0.1/8 scope host lo valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever inet6 ::1/128 scope host valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever2: eth0: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc pfifo_fast state UP group default qlen 1000 link/ether d8:3a:dd:7c:ff:62 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff inet 192.168.92.94/24 brd 192.168.92.255 scope global dynamic noprefixroute eth0 valid_lft 47779sec preferred_lft 47779sec
