If you press the "run ssh-keygen" button it outsources generating the keypair to ssh-keygen on the computer you are running Imager on, yes.I assume that this means that the Imager needs to be able to run SSH natively on the host machine to be able to generate a key pair . . .
You are welcome to generate the key pair by any other means though (e.g. openssh as provided through msys2, cygwin, alternative software like puttygen) and copy the public key to the "allowed keys" text box manually.
Just can't use the "run ssh-keygen" button in those cases.
