If you follow the link in the post you quoted from you'll find instructions.
OK, I found my way to Githib and took a look at the destructions. It said: To install wsdd under 11/Bullseye and earlier see the "Others" section below. So I found the others section and cut and pasted the commands into the Pi command line and all I seemed to get was a whole page of errors. I tried the complicated set of commands in the others section and also just for the hell of it also tried apt install wsdd. As I am currently running this forum out in windows it's difficult to list the text from the Pi, but it telling me things like:

Firstly I tried the cut and paste of the 'Github others' commands - that resulted in a huge amount of computer jargon
that finished with
Cannot write to '-' (Broken pipe).
bash: /etc/apt/sources.List. d/wsdd.list: Permission denied

sounds like its got a plumbing problem!!

So then I entered
apt install wsdd (because that apt install command seems to get a lot done - even though it said bullseye 11 to use the 'others' command)

It read the package lists - done
E: Could not open lock file /var/lib/apt/lists/lock open (13: permission denied)
E: Unable to lock directory /va/lib/apt/lists
E: Could not open lock file /var/lib/dpkg/lock-frontend - open (13: permission denied)
E: Unable to acquire the dpkg frontend lock (/var/lib/dpkg/lock-frontend), are you root?

It just all sort of sounds like it's not working.

I never got programming sorted. I can follow and type in instructions, but that 'commands on the black screen stuff' is always a bit scarey - heaven knows how I even get the Plex stuff running, but I have done - though I think its more by luck than judgement. On the other hand I run rings around Windows and the MS environments and always have done - daft isn't it? Anyhow, I seem to be sitting on a big fat fail atm. any ideas are more than welcome.
