With 1 NVMe it works fine. With 2 it just totally fails to find any NVMe devices. I do not get a panic , it simply fails to see them.
I'm running Debian GNU/Linux 12 (bookworm). I have the genuine Raspberry pi 27W PSU.
So my log looks slightly different:
I'm coming to the conclusion this is not a well designed box.
