Are you using the tools for SQL or for the many other features mentioned on the Quest site? There might be alternatives for some of the features. I doubt there would be one tool as a 100% replacement. The Oracle market is too small.
For something like DB software admin, not the SQL stuff, you could look at connecting in through SSH or VNC or similar and working remote that way.
Software developers in the Linux market tend to produce their software using open source tools and open source databases. As an example, it is easy to whip up something using PHP for administering the data in a database and another tool for administering the DB sever if the server is Linux with MariaDB or PostGreSQL. My experience of using Oracle would stop me looking at developing anything specific to Oracle DB. Do Quest have forums where you can request support for more operating systems?
