This looks like the print heads need cleaning, which is probably not the case.
Are you using the standard AirPrint (as in, you don't need to set anything up) driver? Maybe it's printing in greyscale, and the shadows are a little bit of aliasing. You might be able to change print mode to black and white, depending on the AirPrint driver
