Beginners • Touchscreen, screen rez and internet problems

I come from dos, I am lost.

I have an Rpi4B 8g and an Elecrow 10.1" 1280x800 hdmi monitor with built in capacitive usb touchscreen.
Along with a Mesa 7i96s cnc card. This has an ethernet connection preset to 10.10.10.10
I have fixed the eth0 IP at 10.10.10.11
It has the latest Bookworm and Linuxcnc (just last month) installed.

I have several problems:

1) the touchscreen has no "double click" to select. It seems to be the linux as a touchpad on a keyboard had the same deficiency.
The rest seems to work fine. Just no double click.

2) The screen is 1280x800 and nowhere can I find a way to set this in the rpi. Nor anything that seems to influence it.

3)The network connects to both the Mesa card and my local wifi. with the Mesa card connected I have full access to the card.
But I have no internet access yet I do have printer access(wifi printer). As soon as I unplug the Mesa card the internet
is again available. How do I "assign" internet to the wifi?

The touch screen is the most important, can't do much if you can't select.
In searching the net there seem to be a million places to control this none of which exist in my system or do nothing.
Same with the screen resolution.
Information can't even seem to agree on who is controlling who, Wayfire or X11.

As for the network, I don't even know where to start.

I have been at these for a month(as I can) and still nowhere. Any answers that work would leave me very grateful.

Thank you
Todd
