Hi!
I bought a brand new Raspberry Pi 5. I have been using 3B+ for a while now, but I'm still a beginner when it comes to a lot of things.
I put the latest official OS on a brand new SD card, I used official PSU and active cooler and connected the monitor. When I tried to boot, there was some text on the screen at first (it looked like a usual list I get when booting), but then it turned blank and the LED on the Pi started flashing. I looked through the documentation and identified that the pattern of flashing was 3 long and 1 short. In the documentation, it states that it's "SPI EEPROM error - Pi 4 and Pi 5".
So, when I googled a solution, one that seemed to fit was to put Bootloader on SD card (I used Raspberry Pi Imager, as I did with the OS). The screen was bright green for a few minutes, after that it turned black. LEDs however started flashing, and they are continuing to flash in the same tempo. It's been half an hour now. I don't want to turn off the power supply in fear that it might further corrupt something.
What should I do? Is it safe to turn it off, try something different?
