Still cannot see any difference myself.

I've said what it does multiple times. The first start wizard uses that number to auto configure the keyboard layout. That is it. There is nothing else.

So I think I understand, but wouldn't that mean that starting your OS from scratch with the dip switches in different position could give you a different language keyboard?
