At least they appear to be an actual manufacturer.

My first experience of having one of my designs manufactured in China involved going over the BoM to see which parts could be substituted with cheaper local alternatives in place of the brands I had specified - with the factory suggesting parts and sending me datasheets of alternatives to approve. One such was for the memory, where they proposed an alternative from a manufacture called "StarRAM". My suspicion was aroused by the fact that the datasheets looked remarkably like photocopies of the Micron datasheets just with StarRAM logos stuck over the Micron ones, but obviously the spec was good so we ordered a small batch of prototypes to test.

The StarRAM units all worked at first inspection - but on running a more vigorous RAM test, they all had just a few hard bit errors in them.

Evidently StarRAM were buying and packaging someone's production rejects (either legitimately or via the back door) and then they were being marketed to us as supposedly working parts.
