Upon looking at WHY the original hole locations don't work, and why the NVME base puts the ports further back in, it appears the Pimoroni NVME base is about 2mm (ish) longer toward the front than the actual board for the Raspberry Pi 5... And there is no allowance in the design of the tray for this...
I am going to print out the relocated holes version as I know it will work, but I am also going to do some measuring and reworking the STL file to see if there is enough material there to allow me to make that recess...
