Power concerns

I believe strongly that the board is having a problem delivering stable power to more than 2 slots at a time. When only using (any) of the two slots on the board then it works great. When I increase the drives to 3 I see errors again.

First, all my research was having me believe I am just using the wrong power supply, so I owned two and bought three:
  • Starting with - Official Raspberry Pi 27w
(Doing the math this was promising that it was the issue. Though, from videos on YouTube everyone used the official charger with no issues.)

  • Currently using - Anker PD Nano charger 100w
  • Tried - Apple 30w, 61w chargers, 65w PD , Tesco 65w PD, Dell 130w

All of which support 9v-20v power delivery.
I can update this more specifically with each the power supply's voltage and amp ratings.
what is your nvme drive requirement? Sum that up and you'll know if the boards DC/DC will ever be able to cope with it.

Do you supply your Pi5 from that board as well or are you using two PSUs?

Use code tags instead of quote tags please when pasting code or log data.
And: if you knew about a problem with that board why did you buy it?
@aBUGSworstnightmare each NVME is the same (3.3v * 2.5a) * 4 = 33W

Both scenerios have been tried - Using the official PSU with the PI and using the 100w PSU with the board - Same results
Testing my current setup (minus 2 drives in Raid 1) now with the 27W official PSU supplying both power and its been running fine.

Waiting on the replacement board from 52PI - Then will revert back to using the 20v 100w PD psu while testing using 3 then 4 drives. First copying to all of them and hopefully no more errors. Then will test a raid 5 on them.

I obviously did not buy a board that I would think wouldn't work, or would have bought it seeing reviews suggesting that. Bought mine on 10 Dec 2024.
