The RPi5 can boot from four sources

1. Micro SD
2. USB
3. NVMe
4. Network

If you boot without any readable media you get the system diagnostic display. If you boot with a device that's not formatted correctly you'll get the same display (with additional diagnostics).

So there are two things you need to do

1. rewrite your SD using the Raspberry Pi imager
2. Check whether you get the diagnostic display
