The problem is the code wasn't completely finished, specifically the "read" method is missing.

I have a separate piece of code that was originally intended for the Grove Pi, and it works. I am going to study the code side-by-side and try to figure it out on my own.

This posting is already a small novel as it is and I'd rather not try your patience with something I should be able to do.

I will be sure to ask if when I have more questions.
