Not sure what you mean by desktop geometry.Do you either have a default desktop geometry set, or did you have the PI connected through to the actual monitor (so it can get EDID data) when you booted it? As an added check...can you ssh into the Pi even if you don't get video?
The problem is switching away then switching BACK to the Pi.
And yes, I can ssh into the Pi. It’s running fine.
