Ok! Got it working 100%.
The fix? You'll not believe it ....
I renamed the device from "TV Mode" to "TV Time" and now it works with the App and Voice Control.
Tried renaming it back to "TV Mode" and it fails. Oh, and now I have to say "TV Time On" whereas previously it worked with just the device name.
.... you go figure!!
