It's best to post issues about PINN on my sticky thread (see signature) if you want me to notice them ;)
Just because you have a fast connection to your ISP does not mean that all the servers that you connect to on the internet will have the same fast access speed. Slow download speeds are mostly down to the bandwidth of the free mirrors that are used to host the images and the number of users accessing them. Some are quicker than others, but I have little control over them.
Please read the user guide, especially the section https://github.com/procount/pinn/blob/m ... -usb-stick regarding installing from a local drive. The user guide documents how to download the OSes through PINN, but that might not avoid the slowness issue. Downloading through your PC where you can select a different mirror from sourceforge may be better in this case. You would need to download the WHOLE folder containing the OS files to your local drive, which usually means downloading the file contents one by one. Put the WHOLE folder under /os on your local drive, so that each OS is in its own folder. e.g. /os/raspios-lite/, /os/raspios-full/ etc.
To find the correct URLs to download from, start at https://github.com/procount/pinn-os/blo ... _list.json and follow the URLs until you find the OS that you want. You will find most end up at https://sourceforge.net/projects/pinn/files/..., but be sure to follow the URLs to make sure you are using the latest version that was converted, otherwise you may come across some old OSes. Also be aware to download the installations for your correct model (RPi4B). Although PINN will filter out any unsuitable OSes, it would be a shame to waste time downloading the unsuitable ones in the first place.
