aBUGSworstnightmare,
More than 1 year ago we did a lot of testing related to SPI displays: viewtopic.php?t=358144
The conclusion was that it's not worth to try to fix issues with ILI948x displays (see your last post).
I'm not sure if anything changed during this time for SPI displays based on ILI948x chips. I didn't try.

Camie3793,
Great that you figured out the username issue!
I don't like to deliver bad news but you can read through the thread which I mentioned above and see that it's not a trivial task to make any SPI display working. Some of them (used by aBUGSworstnightmare) you can make working if you build your own driver (.bin file). Some of them (based on chips ILI9486) didn't work at all no matter what you are doing. Do you know the chip used for your display? Here is the example of the command which you can use to find it:

Code:

pi@raspberrypi:~ $ dmesg | grep -i spi[ 13.144916] ads7846 spi0.1: supply vcc not found, using dummy regulator[ 13.154767] ads7846 spi0.1: touchscreen, irq 200[ 13.164995] input: ADS7846 Touchscreen as /devices/platform/soc/3f204000.spi/spi_master/spi0/spi0.1/input/input0[ 13.744208] SPI driver fb_ili9486 has no spi_device_id for ilitek,ili9486
