Couple of things:
- When you say "Changed HDMI cable and monitors" was that a completely different make and model of monitor?
- There is no EEPROM to reflash on a zero2w. The recovery image will do nothing.
- Assuming you pre configured WiFi have you checked to see if the Pi appears on your network?
