Troubleshooting • Re: Pi5 No longer sees/mounts external USB SSD

I have tried powering off the Pi5, plugging the external SSD into USB2 port (the slower non blue colored port), powered the drive first then Pi5, and gave the
lsusb

and it does show:

Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0003 Linux Foundation 3.0 root hub

Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub

However, everything does not show the drive anywhere else. I tired:
lsblk
fdisk -l
df -h

Doesn't show at all. Shows the SD card of course, but not the external SSD. I even went into the fstab file and took out the entry I have for the drive (the only entry there) then did a sudo reboot to see if that made a difference. No change. Drive shows in when plugged into usb 2.0 port with lsusb but that is all. Very strange.
