I am posting this reply on a Raspberry Pi 4 powered by a PiSugar 3 Plus UPS board with a 5,000 mAh battery. It switches from battery to mains and back, and if the software is set up (haven't yet), it can shut down cleanly when mains power is lost, boot again after a time (RTC) or when mains power is restored, etc.
