Assuming a 3B+ is just not adequate to run Bookworm, what is the maximum version that works well on a 3B+?
Bookworm lite runs well on a 3B+, but that means running without a desktop. So it is good for a lot of things, but not really good enough for running a browser and browsing modern website.
I have an RPi 5/8 here, and I plan to migrate to that soon. Does Bookworm run well on a 5/8?
I can understand that new features may require updated hardware to run it effectively, but I find It disappointing that existing hardware isn't usable on a new OS, doing the same thing it did just fine on the old OS.
I also have a Pi5/8. I find the Bookworm desktop snappy and I do use Visual Studio Code on there for development. I don't using it for web browsing myself, but I would guess it should be pretty good.
