Ive got the same problem...
I went and borrowed a monitor keyboard and mouse but am unable to get any video out on either HDMI 0 or 1 ports.
I found that flashing a image on the sd card using username and password with no caps, numbers or special characters i was able to SSH to the pi... but that's it.. I cant get a desktop to come up by remoting in from my pc as i cant get a remote connection
no local HDMI output so I don't know if desktop is actually working at all
im now at a stage im just searching the internet far and wide to look for any kind of answer. I did put a post up in beginners thread but to date I haven't had any responses at all.
I know the pi is working because I can ssh into it. just cant find a way to get a desktop.
I did do a LS in ssh and cd to the desktop directory but it doesn't show any files in that directory at all so im wondering if its a bad image from the start. I don't know where to turn to from here myself as well.
