It'd be interesting to calculate your power $ over those 10 years, just for kicks.

I always assume (looking at my PoE switch) 2W idle or average for my Pi1, at least not far below 1W one would be able to achieve with mobile phone platforms:
10*365.25*24* 2 is about 90k * 2 = 180 kWh
That is about 50 Euros if I assume my current energy prices.
