I am all-in with that, gaining a deep understanding of what there is from the bottom up, and 'how it runs from reset' is indeed a very reasonable place to start.This is because of historical reasons: my first computer was ZX Spectrum, and I used to know it fully, both hardware and software ... Now I want to reach similar level of "owning" on some modern platformAs you are a beginner I am not sure why you are walking the Bare Metal path with RISC-V Assembler.
While AI is supposedly the future where no one will need to write code for themselves, I still believe there will be plenty who will, and we will always need domain experts, even if it becomes a minority sport like crafting broadswords and building trebuchets.
The problem I find with modern silicon is there's so much to it. But I am sure you're going to have an enjoyable adventure.
