solution
I had the same problem.
What I did is connecting my pending USB NTFS drive to a Raspberry Pi 4b, than everything was ok with my drive.
(showed on my desktop).
Next I deleted all the //media/rapsberry/diskdrivenames on the Raspberry Pi 5, because there where mulitple drivename entries counting from 1 to x.
After that I connectected my USB NTFS drive from Pi 4B to Pi 5 everthing works now.
Remark I have Samba running on the Pi 5 and not the Pi 4B, maybe that causes the problem.
