The Pi 5 takes more power so it is less likely to work well being powered from the USB C bus on the Macintosh. It's possible that Apple shuts down a USB port that does no see any power draw. I'd have thought this would break lots of peripherals and maybe it does. Sorry I don't know anything.I tasted this on Pi 4 and it works fine but it doesn't on Pi 5 again. Even if there is an issue related to Mac, shouldn't it be the same for both of them?
