Where and what situation should I bee looking for errors?

Use...

Code:

journalctl -b | grep pcieport
You should see something similar to this if everything is OK...

Code:

Mar 26 12:49:22 raspberrypi kernel: pcieport 0000:00:00.0: enabling device (0000 -> 0002)Mar 26 12:49:22 raspberrypi kernel: pcieport 0000:00:00.0: PME: Signaling with IRQ 38Mar 26 12:49:22 raspberrypi kernel: pcieport 0000:00:00.0: AER: enabled with IRQ 38Mar 26 12:49:22 raspberrypi kernel: pcieport 0001:00:00.0: enabling device (0000 -> 0002)Mar 26 12:49:22 raspberrypi kernel: pcieport 0001:00:00.0: PME: Signaling with IRQ 44Mar 26 12:49:22 raspberrypi kernel: pcieport 0001:00:00.0: AER: enabled with IRQ 44

If you see any error messages, you have a problem.

I've tested the hardware in my sig over extended periods at Gen 3 and never seen an error. YMMV.
