The 2026-05-17: 2711 is now in APT (default) and is the RPi Imager default bootloader-rescue image.
It's also the new manufacturing release at Sony.
Since this improves support for different SDRAM and SPI flash, this is now the default 'minimum' recommended firmware for Pi4/CM4/CM4S/Pi400.
