A plausible mechanism by which this can happen is Trixie performing an automatic firmware update known to be incompatible with Pi 5 computers that have been field updated to have more RAM.I can't say I've ever encountered this with any of my Pis.Ever since Trixie has been released I have had 3 Pi 5's just stop working.
