don't[ know which 'Reset' you're speaking of in relation to your Pi Zero.
If you want to look for pin damage for GPIO18 one can doTo test for GPIO damage:
while "pinctrl poll" is running you can briefly short the pin to GND to look for a LOW, and to 3V3 (ideally using a resistor, i.e. 10k) to look for a HIGH
