Curious as to how this thread works out, what you've posted makes absolutely no sense or you're skipping/misunderstanding steps that you may think irrelevant.
If you're sure that you are following instructions and replied correctly then I'd return the board as faulty (I'm also pretty sure it's not though, read that whatever way you want).
