Troubleshooting • Fruitbox Problems

Running Fruitbox on my Pi 4 has been very inconsistent. Sometimes when I launch it, the program loads, but is then frozen and none of the touchscreen buttons work. If I press a button and wait a few minutes, sometimes the program then "catches up."

Other times, when Fruitbox launches, it returns an error message of music not found. So I then shut down the Pi (using a power button), turn off power, then power on again. Then the program may load properly and run properly.

Just now, I had to go through about 5 power down and reboot cycles to get the program to run properly.

There have been some times where a song will be playing, then stops for a number of seconds, then continues playing.

Sometimes the Pi just shuts down by itself.

I have about 6,700 songs on the usb stick, could that be the problem?

Any thoughts on what I can do to get this program to consistently run.

Would a larger capacity micro SD card help?

I have a 1.5 amp power supply for the touchscreen, and a 3.0 amp power supply for the Pi 4.

thanks in advance for any tips...
