Hardware.
Raspberry Pi 4B 8GB
Trancend 1 TB micro SD card
Dell Keyboard and Mouse
USB-C switched dedicated power supply
Micro HDMI to HDMI to Epson LCD projector
I ran Raspberry Pi imager on the Micro SD card, I chose the top recommended option, 64bit Raspberry Pi OS.
Everything seemed to work just fine.
I plugged the Micro SD card into the slot and turned it on. For the next twenty minutes it just sat on the red and white screen with the three dots saying: Trying boot mode USB-MSD. Trying Boot Mode SD.
I thought I might as well hold down the Shift key and try a net install and it moved!
It acted like it was downloading and installing an OS. It asks me to choose which Pi I have but the choices can't be read. So I chose an option starting at the top until the device said Raspberry Pi 4. At the end when you press NEXT it asked a Yes or No question about settings I told it NO and to move on Then it popped up another YES or No question but the text was so small it was unintelligible dots. I tried to move on with a YES and then pressed Next. It took me to another window with unintelligible tiny dots and a NEXT that takes me back to the beginning. So I changed my answers to the questions no one can read but it always takes me back to the settings question in a loop. So I tried to start over and reformat the Micro SD card. I downloaded the SD card reformater that the forums suggested and it can't reformat the SD card now, the computer can't reformat the SD card now and it only sees it as a 32GB disk. I tried to go through the process again anyway and I made it to the Choose Storage Device and now it can't see the SD card at all.
Tried to include some pictures, not sure it is the right way, my first post.
