-40°C is outside the normal operating range for the Pi Zero - but Pis have been used in lower temperatures. Such as for taking pictures of Penguins in -42°C or lower. The Pis were fine. The batteries froze.I live in an area of the world that has hot summers AND cold Winters. so that's low's of -40 Cel to +40 Cel (-40 to 104 F). Will this pose a problem for the pi? I would imagine so
Oh and there was an experiment cooling a Pi with liquid nitrogen to see how fast it could go. IIRC it failed somewhere below -100°C because the capacitors went out of spec.
+40°C is high, but within operating range.
