Sorry for confusion. As I explained at the beginning of this post, I have two Pi 5. I was facing fan speed problem with the new PI 5, which I received today.to get that right:Thank you for reply. Well I checked the fan connector. I am using and testing the same active cooler on both Pi 5. When I connect the connector to the old Pi 5 then fan works as normal, but when I connect it to the new Pi 5, it works at the maximum speed.
A) when connecting your old fan (!) to the new Pi it works as expected?
B) When connecting your new fan (!) to your old Pi it runs at 100%?
Anyway, I just fixed the problem. After checking pins of the female connector (on Pi board), I noticed that one of the pins was bent. That was difficult to see! and unexpected as well. I think some friends have faced the same issue and still couldn't figure it out. I spent hours on this funny issue. I hope this post will help others!
