You should be able to change the title of your thread. Starting a new thread just causes confusion.I need to start a new thread with an appropriate title.
Do you mean issues with using the keyboard? Do you also have either an HDMI to Micro-HDMI adapter or an HDMI to Micro-HDMI cable that will let you plug the Raspberry Pi into a TV or monitor?I went out and bought a keyboard but I'm having so many issues here.
You say you don't have a router, but only a switch. I am guessing that your Steam Deck and Windows laptop are connected to the internet via WiFi. Is that the case? Is there any reason the Raspberry Pi cannot be connected to the same WiFi?
If your Window Laptop and Raspberry Pi are connected to a switch using Ethernet cables, it is not trivial to make the Raspberry Pi visible to your Steam Deck.
I don't believe the problem you are having are to do with the setup on the Companion Pi, but the setup and your expectations of your network. Let us know the whole setup.
