SSR relay are available in many flavors.
e.g. https://www.berrybase.de/solid-state-re ... v-dc-input
Have a similar of these laying around and at 3.3V it needs 3mA control current.

Using these for pure 'resistive' load should not be a problem. But may years ago I had problems when fans have been build into the heater 'fan heater' where the fan needs very low power, then one of the half waves was not switched reliably and the motor decided to quit operation.

Other option is to use wireless relay devices e.g. https://www.shelly.com/de/products/shop/shelly-plus-1-1 and if you need higher current then perhaps this https://www.shelly.com/de/products/shop/shelly-pro-2

On the other side: do not change a winning team. If your solution works then keep it running.
