Yes, i have found similar problems with the Pi5 running Bookworm Wayland. If I leave it running but switch off the TV or switch the TV to TV reception or another HDMI input, when I switch back to the Pi5 the taskbar is likely to have disappeared or the whole screen is blank. I have not found any way to recover except CTRL-Alt-F1 to a terminal prompt and issue the reboot command. Never had this with Pi1B, Pi1B+, Pi2B, Pi3B, Pi3B+, Pi3A, Pi4B or all 3 in the Zero family.
Definitely a software problem as I left the exact same setup except another micro-SD card with Konstang's Android running for more than 48 hours with the TV off overnights and several times during the daytimes used to watch off-air or switched to the PVR. Switching the TV back to the RPi never once failed to come back to the Android screen as it was* at the point in time when the TV was changed to not show the Pi5's HDMI output.
(* Except for the clock showing the correct updated time.)
