Troubleshooting • Re: HDMI issues with new Pi5 8gb

Sorry, I'm confused. I did follow the method described earlier in this thread to use my RPi3 to generate an EDID binary file to copy to /lib/firmware on the RPi5. However, the video only works if I then add the video resolution to the cmdline.txt, eg. video=HDMI-A-1:1024x768M@60D , again with the "fake" EDID. If the "fake" EDID is missing, the "video=HDMI-A-1:1024x768M@60D" does not work. The "video=HDMI-A-1:D" does not work w/wo the "fake EDID.

I've tried various suggestions about forcing HDMI audio, but they haven't worked. Am I missing something?
