My input pins, regardless of the PULL_DOWN command seem to latch high once connected by the button to GPIO 36.

GPIO Pin numbers on Pico and Pico2 boards only go up to #28.



(But the real underlying issue has probably been diagnosed for you, given that you are using an RPi Pico 2 board.)

I meant plain old pin 36. I'm afraid my combination of me being new to this, not getting results expected leading me to question my own skill, reading level and general competency have added up to a level of frustration that led me to use the term GPIO when I shouldn't have.

So is there something wrong with the Pico 2, or is this E9 fault a noob joke rather like the old PEBKAC Fault I used in telecoms?
