notice that there are three different images you can get for the pi... get the one for the pi2...
when you burn that to an sd card, it should boot right into retropie.
if it doesn't that suggests there is a more fundamental problem going on, maybe the sd card is a dud... (I remember the pi2 being more picky about that kind of thing)... It's even possible the pi2 itself has a problem. (but more likely the sd card is a dud).
