I used the latest version of Raspberry Pi OS (64-bit) Desktop version which was the recommended version as suggested by the Pi Imager. [Relased 2024-11-19]
I have tried inserting once it's booted up & I have tried booting up with the pen driv attached but it's not being picked up therefore I can't use a player - but beforehand I was successfully using VLC.
I was wondering if I maybe needed to use a powered USB hub for the pen drive?
Thanks.
That would seem like a reasonable assumption to meI was wondering if I maybe needed to use a powered USB hub for the pen drive?
I have no experience of using such a large capacity usb stick (an internet search informs of differing power requirements) so perhaps a powered hub will solve the problem
I would be inclined to first try a standard usb2 stick to see if that is recognised
Have you tried running (in a terminal window)
Code:
