Sorry, have no idea which OS you're using on your platform.I also have issues from sharing the SPI bus between the ilitek chip and the ads7846, with panel-mipi-dbi... but with orange pi zero 3 (Armbian)
Is this an issue with only panel-mipi-dbi? Is it not a problem with other LCD driver and shared SPI?
Maybe I should redo my wiring and DTS to create a separate gpio-spi
..
I've only used the resistive touch on the 2.8in module with mini-dbi-spi driver with no issues. You'll need to remove the write-only command because every READ command will be ignored because of that (answer hence you can't read touch coordinates).
