Yes you can, and you already are.Hi! My RPi2 B v1.1 powered with microUSB (100% sure a 2A charger) constantly yields the "Undervoltage detected" log regardless of chargers I use. At the same time, I can see with the hardware USB power monitor (pretty simple chinese one, it's not a lab device) that the board never exceeds 0.4A of current drawn.
But I used the DC regulated power supply (Korad KA3005P) at 5V, 5A attached to 40-pin header (GND and 5V+ pins) - still the same - the current drawn by the board never exceeds 0.4A with Ethernet cable attached but this time the board gets into a rolling reset.
Last time I used the board was several years ago and it was working.
Can I power the board with 40-pin header? How can I troubleshoot the issue?
It sounds like you have a poor power supply. Get a better one.
