There isn't a known issue and video playback should work on the DSI display port in general, but it depends exactly what you're doing software-wise. The DSI port does have different capabilities to the HDMI ports so it's possible your software is doing something which doesn't work with the DSI port.
Are you using the labwc/wayland desktop on an up-to-date install of Raspberry Pi OS Desktop 64-bit? If so, please try playing the video with VLC. If this doesn't work then let me know because this is a bug we should fix. If it does work then it suggests the problem is with your software setup.
