Something that might be related - or not.
I have a Pi5 that I operate remotely and had been working fine for many months until a couple of months ago, it would just disappear from the network. Its one of the few devices that is wireless rather than ethernet. The first couple of times I rebooted it but as the problem persisted I realised it was still running, it was just the wireless connection had died.
Without properly looking into it I guessed the wireless was going to sleep/power-save, so I gave it ...
And the problem didn't happen until I rebooted, so since then I have stuck it in /etc/rc.local and the dropout has not occurred since.
Something must have changed in the OS because nothing was changed except normal updates.
