each disk uses: 5V 0,55AI can't say that I am the slightest bit surprised. Your Pi4B can supply 600mA (combined) to your USB ports. Did you check the power requirements of your drives before you bought them to see if they would fit within the available power? That's a, basic--and absolutely essential--thing to do before even attempting to connect a USB device to, well--really--any USB port.I have one RP4 and i need to create one small NAS for home usage, but i want to save the data on two 2,5" sata disk. And im using this adapter:
If I usage ONLY ONE disk at time, i have no problems. But if I try to plug 2 devices, the board cant power the 2 disks and the disks still power down.
So, i need one way to use one extra power to my two disks, but how? I cant found one sata to usb adapter to feed extra 5V power, just 12V.
Any ideas? Thanks!]
